Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 August 2026

This policy explains how RidenRank Ltd ("we", "us") collects and uses personal data when you visit https://ridenrank.com, contact us, or engage our services. We are the data controller for the personal data described below.

1. Who we are and how to reach us

RidenRank Ltd is a private limited company registered in England & Wales (company number 17315160, Companies House (England & Wales)), registered office 33 Meadow Way, Bristol BS32 8BN, United Kingdom.

For any privacy question, or to exercise any of the rights in section 11, contact us at hello@ridenrank.com or +44 7576 995765. We aim to respond within one month, as the UK GDPR requires.

2. What we collect

Enquiry data you choose to send us: your name, email address, phone number, company name, website address, the type of work you are interested in, and anything else you write in your message.

Client and contract data if you engage us: billing details, correspondence, project materials and any system access you provide, and records of the work delivered.

Technical data generated automatically when a page loads: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested and the time of the request. Our hosting provider processes this in server logs to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not combine it with anything else or use it to identify you.

We do not collect special category data through this website, and you should not send any to us in an enquiry.

3. Cookies, analytics and tracking

This website sets no cookies. We run no analytics, no advertising pixels, no session recording and no cross-site tracking. Nothing is stored on your device by us, so under PECR there is nothing for you to consent to or opt out of.

Every asset on this site — pages, styles, fonts and images — is served from our own domain through the hosting infrastructure described in section 2. Loading a page discloses your IP address to no other third party.

4. Our enquiry form

The enquiry form sends nothing on its own. It assembles what you type into a message and hands it to a channel you choose — WhatsApp or your own email program — and nothing leaves your device until you send it there. We hold no database of unsent enquiries.

If you message us on WhatsApp, your message and phone number are processed by WhatsApp Ireland Limited (Meta) under its own terms and privacy policy, and we receive them in our business WhatsApp account. If you would rather not use WhatsApp, email or telephone us instead — details in section 1.

5. Why we use it, and our legal bases

To answer your enquiry, quote for work and deliver our services — performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before entering one (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).

To operate, secure and maintain this website and keep proper business records — our legitimate interests in running and protecting the business (Art. 6(1)(f)). You may object to this at any time.

To tell you about services similar to those you have enquired about or bought, which you can stop at any time by replying or using the unsubscribe link — our legitimate interests, applied within the direct-marketing rules in PECR. Where consent is required we ask for it, and you may withdraw it at any time (Art. 6(1)(a)).

To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations — legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).

6. RideDesk

We operate RideDesk (https://ridedesk.app), software transport operators use to run their bookings. Where an operator uses RideDesk to process their own customers' data, that operator is the controller and RidenRank Ltd acts as their processor under a written data processing agreement. This policy covers our own website, enquiries and business contacts; the operator's own privacy notice governs their passengers' data.

7. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with providers who help us run the business, and only as far as they need it: website hosting and content delivery, email, accounting, and — for RideDesk — payment and messaging providers. Each acts on our instructions under a written contract.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

8. International transfers

Some providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, with any additional safeguards needed to give your data an equivalent level of protection.

9. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 24 months from our last contact, so we can pick the conversation back up if you return.

Client records, contracts and invoices: six years after the end of the relationship, to meet UK accounting and limitation requirements.

Hosting server logs: a short rolling period set by our hosting provider for security and diagnostics.

Data processed inside RideDesk on an operator's behalf: as set out in that operator's data processing agreement.

When a retention period ends we delete the data or irreversibly anonymise it.

10. Security

This site is served over HTTPS. Access to enquiry and client data is limited to the people who need it, and we use established providers with their own security controls. No transmission over the internet is ever completely secure, so please do not send us passwords or payment card details by email or WhatsApp.

11. Your rights

You have the right to be informed about our processing, and to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to it, to receive your data in a portable form, and to withdraw any consent you have given. Exercising these rights is free and will not affect the service you receive from us.

To exercise any right, email hello@ridenrank.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk. If you are in the EU you may instead complain to your own national data protection authority.

12. Automated decisions and children

We carry out no automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

This website and our services are aimed at businesses, not children, and we do not knowingly collect data about anyone under 18.

13. Changes to this policy

We update this policy as our business or this website changes; the date at the top shows the current version, and material changes are highlighted here. Questions? Email hello@ridenrank.com.
